Today was another Spanish holiday so we didn’t have classes or any planned activities. After a good nights rest, my roommate Kim & I ventured out for the day.
We ended up walking around the river & enjoying all the simple views of beauty it had to offer.
We made our way towards a bridge called “Puente de Tirana”, where we ate tapas at a place called “Bar la Cinta”. I ordered a potato omelet & spinach with chick peas- muy delicioso!
We roamed around the city, looking in shops & admiring every view. There were crowds of people out today, I’m assuming because of the holiday. It reminded me of being at the state fair. We may have gotten ourselves a bit lost when it was time to venture home, but we used our instincts (& the map) and made it through.
Upon arriving to our apartment, I made my first video chat back home to my boyfriend. I didn’t realize how home sick I was until I head spoken with him. Not like I’m counting or anything (because I love it here), but only 12 more days..! Tomorrow I return back to my schedule of class & planned activities in the evening. Stay tuned!
